Le Valencia de Léogane a été humilié ce soir par son homologue Costaricien CS Herediano 1-6 au stade Sylvio Cator pour son début dans la ligue des champions de la CONCACAF.
Les hommes de Frantz Décembre n’étaient pas encore prêt pour le rendez-vous, une équipe méconnaissable, le Valencia semble avoir oublié s’il était a domicile.
La catastrophe avait débutée à la 38e minutes quand Ismael Gomez a ouvert le score, imité par Yendrick Ruiz 5 minutes plus tard pour le break 2-0 à la mi-temps, en deuxième période, la ballade continue avec Nuñez pour le 3-0.
Arrivé à la 65e minutes, les Aigles Verts changent leur rythme et trouvent finalement la faille dans la défense d’Herediano pour la réduction du score de Roody Joseph sur un but très spéctaculaire; mais c’était sans contentement puisque à la 69e minutes, Jose Sanchez a marqué le 4e puis un autre joueur le 5e, et finalement CS Herediano s’est imposé 6-1 au depend du Valencia.

Arsenal a annoncé aujourd’hui sur son site internet le départ de l’attaquant Gervinho (26ans) pour l’AS Roma en Italie.
Le jeune Ivoirien avait des difficultés à trouver un rôle dans l’équipe première des Gunners, il a marqué seulement 11 buts en deux saisons à l’Emirates Stadium.

Eric Abidal est de retour dans l’équipe de France après avoir été sélectionné par l’entraîneur Didier Deschamps pour affronter la Belgique mercredi après 18 mois d’absence dans l’équipe nationale. Son dernier match avec les bleus est daté du 29 Février 2012.
Le défenseur de Monaco a été diagnostiqué avec un cancer du foie en Mars 2011 et il a dû subir une greffe en Avril 2012 avant de revenir jouer pour le FC Barcelone en Avril.

Louis Saha who was rumored to come to the MLS to play for the New England revolution announced his retirement from professional football via twitter on his 35th birthday.
The former France striker, played for Newcastle United, Fulham, Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham Hotpsur and Sunderland. He posted the following message on twitter earlier today:
« Want to thks all managers, all staffs, all teammates, all opponents, all fans, for all support and love towards me during my football career.
« I’m a proud man but without you all I won’t be myself now. Thx for the challenges thx for the help thx for the memories thx for the passion, » the striker said. « I will stop to be call a professionnel footballer and wish many young talent to enjoy as much as me my football. Love you and thx again. »
In his international career with France, he scored four goals on 20 appearances with the team. He achieved some success on the club level with different teams. He scored 64 goals in 144 games while playing in England for Fulham. After a successful spell with Fulham, he moved to the Old Trafford in 2004 to play for Manchester United scoring 42 goals in 124 appearances.
Saha joined Everton after playing for Manchester United for four years. At Everton, the success was relatively as good as the other clubs. He scored 35 goals for the club in only 115 games.
Before finally calling it a career, Saha had brief stints with Sunderland and Lazio before finally settling down last year with the Tottenham Hotspur.
Saha originally started his career at Metz in 1997, he then played on loan for Newcastle the next year for only the second half of the season.

Technique intéressante, sens de but parfait, dribble sensationnel, ce jeune footballeur Haïtien au cheveux long, au visage d’ange et un prénom biblique, Zachary, fait souffler déjà un vent nouveau sur le football haïtien.
A l’instar de son père, Pedro Hériveaux qui était lui aussi footballeur, le jeune prodige Haïtien de 17 ans (1er Février 1996) de New England Revolution (USA) attire les convoitises de 3 pays du globe terrestre à savoir: le Japon (le pays de sa maman Miki et de sa naissance), les Etats-Unis et Haïti (le pays de son papa Pedro).
Voulant intégrer l’une des équipes de jeune Haïtienne, son papa et son coach (Wilner Dort) étaient présents à la salle de conférence du Stade Sylvio Cator pour nous présenter ce jeune talentueux qu’on compare déjà avec Ronaldinho de part son style et de son talent.
Selon ce qu’a fait savoir son papa, Zachary Hériveaux devrait intégrer l’équipe Pro de New England Revolution cette saison et le Japon, les Etats-Unis souhaitent avoir ce petit, étant Haïtien, Zachary veut porter les couleurs d’Haïti de préférence en commençant par les jeux de la francophonie où les Grenadiers U-20 devraient participer en séptembre, reste a savoir s’il va trouver une convocation par l’entraineur des U-20.

L’entraîneur de l’équipe nationale portugaise Paulo Bento a dévoilé la liste des 23 joueurs qui vont affronter les Pays-Bas le 14 août Prochain au Stade de l’Algarve dans un match amical.
Pepe, le défenseur du Real Madrid fera son come back après avoir été suspendu pour un match. Mis à part le retour de Pepe, il n’y aura pas de grands changements dans l’équipe appelée par l’entraîneur.
