After dominating a tough match, the NE Revolution managed to pull out two great goals to take home the victory at home against the Chicago fire. Young player Juan Agudelo scored an outstanding goal, he chipped the ball over the goalkeeper with his heel to give the Revs a one zero advantage. Kelyn Rowe, the UCLA product added to Chicago’s heartache by tapping in a rebound from Saer Sene’s initial shot.
The NE Revolution possessed the ball great throughout the entire game, the midfield distributed the ball well to strikers, and the likes of Nyguen and Rowe in the midfield helped the game stay at top speed and controlled play. The Revs held the ball well and the only times Chicago was able to see it was through set pieces and counter attacks.
The Revolution defense did a great job of stopping strikers, although Chicago’s striker Mike Magee managed to strike the post, he was very quiet throughout the entire match. This match was special because of the victory and also special because Charlie Davies on loan from Danish club Randers F.C, Charlie made his debut towards the end of the game. During a post-game interview Charlie was asked about his debut and he responded he was glad to be a part of the victory and happy to be with the club.
It was a great-home win for the Revolution against their Rival. However, the Revs must continue to win hard fought battles like this one in order to secure a playoff berth. When they host the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference on Sunday, the Philadelphia Union, they will have to play with the same poised in order to finish the mini home-stand on a perfect note. Last time they met, New England defeated Philadelphia 2-0.

La fédération Haïtienne de football (FHF) a annoncé ce mardi que les grenadiers affronteront la Corée du Sud a Séoul le 6 séptembre prochain en match amical international.
Les grenadiers, orphelins de match dépuis le 15 juillet dernier après leur éliminations dans la Gold Cup 2013 face à Salvador 0-1, seront de retour sur le terrain pour affronter les diables rouges. Ce sera le premier test officiel du nouvel entraineur de la séléction Haïtienne après la révocation de Antonio Israel Blake Cantero.
L’équipe Sud Coréenne est entraîné par l’ancien capitaine de l’équipe nationale de la coupe du monde de 2002, Hong Myung-bo et trouve déjà son billet pour le mondial de 2014.

Après avoir passé avec succès les test-médicaux hier matin, le latéral gauche de la séléction haïtienne, Wilde-Donald guerrier a signé un contrat d’un an avec Wisla Cracovie. Le club a officialisé le transfert de l’Haïtien via son site internet wisle.krakow.pl.
Accueilli depuis dimanche dernier en Pologne, le numéro 4 des Grenadiers a paraphé un contrat d’un an avec option de renouvellement pour deux ans, si bien sûr il donne les satisfactions escomptées par le club dirigé par Ryszard Pilch.
Donald Guerrier pourrait commencer dès ce week-end où Wisla Cracovie affrontera le Lech Pozman pour le compte de la 5ème journée du championnat Polonais.

The 18 year old Uruguayan-American MLS star Diego Fagundez of the New England Revolution granted Haiti Tempo this exclusive interview in which he reveals his favorite player, where he needs to be improved as a player and many more. Diego is the club’s first ever homegrown player and signed to a senior contract back in November 2010. Fagundez was born in Uruguay then moved to the US with his family when he was 5 years old.
Fagundez is currently the leading goalscorer of the Revolution with 7 goals as the club is making a final push for a playoff berth. Earlier this season, Diego scored in four consecutive MLS matches from May 11-June 2.
The phenom has stated in the past that he would be open to represent either Uruguay or team USA.
Here’s our interview with Diego.
HT: Diego, when did you start playing soccer?
Fagundez: I started playing soccer when I was 2 years old. My dad got me into it when I was very young, so I started kicking the ball around when I was two. I started to play on a team when I was 3 ½ probably.
HT: Who was your favorite player growing up?
Fagundez: Cristiano Ronaldo definitely, he’s just an excellent player.
HT: Do you have a favorite professional soccer team
Fagundez: Real Madrid, all day!
HT: What is it like to be a star at a very young age?
Fagundez: You just have to prove to the kids and the people in the stands that you can play no matter how old you are and that anyone can play this sport.
HT: How does it feel to be the youngest player and also the top scorer for the Revolution?
Fagundez: It feels good, but without my team I don’t think I could be where I am right now. So, it’s all a team effort.
HT: Can you tell us about the best players you’ve met or played against?
Fagundez: I’ve played against a lot of good players in the MLS like David Beckham. You just never dream of being able to play at such a young age against these top players.
HT: Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Fagundez: Probably my parents, other players, and a couple of coaches that I have gotten really close to too.
HT: Is there any part of your game that you’d like to improve?
Fagundez: Probably my defending. It’s getting better, but of course it’s always better to keep working on it to get better at it.
HT: Do you put a lot of thinking on which national team you’ll play for between Uruguay and the USMNT? Any decision yet?
Fagundez: No, I haven’t. I’m more focused on the Revs right now, so whenever I get the opportunity maybe I’ll start to think about it.
HT: What advice would you give to younger players who want to become professional soccer players?
Fagundez: Work hard and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it.

Diego played for both USA and Uruguay at the youth level. He was a member of the U.S. Under-14 National Team pool from 2007-2008, he played for the U.S. under 15 squad in 2010. He also made two appearances as a member of the Uruguayan squad against Peru’s U-20 team in friendly matches on Oct. 9 and Oct. 11. As of now, he is eligible to represent Uruguay at the senior level, he won’t be able to appear for the USMNT until he gains US citizenship.

La Fédération française de football a annoncé lundi que la France jouera Australie en amical à Paris le 11 Octobre prochain.
Le match se jouera au Parc des Princes où Paris Saint Germain joue ses matchs à domicile.
Australie, entraînée par Holger Osieck est l’un des rares pays qui ont déjà décroché une place pour la Coupe du Monde 2014 au Brésil et joueront France pour la troisième fois seulement, avec chacun ayant remporté une rencontre 1-0 et attirer l’autre 1-1.

Le Comite Exécutif de la Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF) et la Commission centrale de Football Féminin ont l’avantage d’inviter la presse a la cérémonie officielle de présentation et de remise du drapeau national qu’elles vont défendre lors du 1er tour de la Coupe du monde de la FIFA ce lundi 19 aout 2013 a la Maison JEAN VORBE du Centre Joseph Blatter a 11 heures AM.
Cette cérémonie est placée sous la Présidence d’Honneur de la Ministre des Sports, 1ere Femme ministre des Sports Madame Magalie Racine, qui voue aussi une grande affection a ces jeunes filles qui constituent la 1ere promotion formée au Camp Nous dans l’objectif de faire franchir les obstacles devant mener le football féminin Haïtien vers les sommets de la région.
Cette première promotion qui va disputer du 19 au 26 aout le 1er tour de la Coupe du monde en République Dominicaine avec comme adversaires, Guyana, GRENADA, REPUBLIQUE DOMINICAINE, est le témoin vivant de la détermination du Bureau fédéral a travailler malgré les conditions d’adversité, l’environnement hostile même existant dans le pays a se battre pour que le football haïtien soit un motif d’admiration, de stupéfaction, l’expression de la passion du peuple haïtien pour le beau jeu.
La FHF a choisi L’ORCHESTRE TROPICANA comme parrain de ce groupe dans cette coupe du monde FIFA/COSTA RICA 2014 AUTANT pour magnifier l’œuvre de ce groupe pendant 50ans, qui a d’ailleurs beaucoup aide le football, le football, féminin en particulier mais aussi pour inciter nos jeunes a suivre l’exemple et a adopter les valeurs de solidarité, de tolérance, de passion du beau et de service a la Communauté qui ont permis a ce groupe musical de traverser le temps et les espaces avec des succès continus.
La délégation haïtienne qui a du et qui doit encore surmonter beaucoup de difficultés financières laisse le pays la veille de leur premier match le mardi 20 aout et jouera le 21 contre la forte équipe de Guyane, le 23 contre Grenada et le 25 défiera l’adversaire de toujours la République dominicaine.
La FHF Espère, la présence de tous les journalistes de football pour apporter le support et le message de ces ambassadrices du pays a l’étranger.

Le championnat du monde d’Athlétisme (Russie 2013) a pris fin ce dimanche matin au stade olympique de Moscou avec la finale du triple saut où Samyr Lainé participait.
Au terme du demi-finale qui se déroulait hier samedi, Samyr avait trouvé sa qualification pour la finale du triple saut avec un bond de 16. 87 m; mais arrivè à la finale ce matin avec les 11 autres concurrents, l’Haïtien n’a pas fait mieux en réalisant une performance inférieure avec un bond de 16. 09 m.
La médaille d’or a été remportée par le Français Teddy Tamgho avec un bond de 18. 04 m et l’argent a été décrochée par le Cubain Pedro Pablo Pichardo.
Suivant ce classement du championnat du monde, on pourrait dire notre Samyr Lainé est le nouveau numéro 11 mondial en triple saut.

Annoncé dépuis un laps de temps au club Polonais de Cracovie, le latéral gauche Haïtien de 24 ans, Donald Guerrier (14 sélections) va finalement signer au Wisla Cracovie pour 1 an.
Après une gold cup à moitié puisque le joueur n’a pas eu le temps de mettre vraiment en évidence son talent avec une blessure au dos dès le premier match, l’ex-joueur de l’America des Cayes, de retour la semaine dernière sur le terrain contre Victory en championnat national D1, était en attente d’un visa Polonais mais finalement tout est ok et le joueur va s’engager pour 1 an avec Wisla Cracovie avec l’option de renouvellement pour 2 ans. Il passera la visite médicale d’ici demain et signe le contrat mardi.
